Dear Mr. and Mrs. Akleman,

I became good friends with Andrew while he was working in Sarajevo and had the pleasure of enjoying many wonderful and fun-filled moments with he and our mutual friends.

The news of his unexpected death has saddened me profoundly and I wish to express my most sincere condolences over the loss of your son. Andrew was one of the most kind-hearted and caring people I have ever met.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this most difficult time.
